GoDaddy.com (www.godaddy.com) has launched a contest on its website that could earn thousands of dollars for users of the company's website builder, SmartSpace, which lets customers personalize their site with photos, videos, blogs, business information, as well as material from social media sites like Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.

In order to find out how customers are making the most of SmartSpace, GoDaddy.com is offering a total of $25,000 in prize money to those who submit a link to their SmartSpace-powered blog, podcast or video testimonial about how it has changed the way they use the Internet, how they blog, how they do business, or even live their life. The three most creative entries will win $5,000 each and another $1,000 will go to ten runner-ups. All winners will receive free SmartSpace for life. The contest closes April 15, 2009.

Spiderhost and tekGIANTS Offer Free Network Analysis and Design to "Crappiest Network Contest" Winner

Orlando-based Spiderhost (www.spiderhost.com), which provides custom IT solutions, managed services, and data center services, has announced the "Crappiest Network Contest," to follow its December 2008 "Crappiest Website Contest." The Crappiest Network Contest will ferret out the worst-of-the-worst in one segment of the Orlando-area IT landscape, where it will be looking for 10-year-old servers, PCs not in cases, cables running across the office and messy closets.

The winner will receive a $5,000 network makeover from Spiderhost, including network analysis and design from tekGIANTS (www.tekgiants.com), an IT support and consulting firm that merged with Spiderhost in February. will implement the hardware.
