Description:

We are an Ireland based organization, looking for qualified and experienced service provider to design, redevelop and host website. This redevelopment should take account of changes in organizational and audience requirements, and take advantage of advances in online technologies.
Scope of Requirements:

1. Design:
   a) Service provider needs to provide a new graphic design for the main website and produce accessible HTML templates.
   b) All elements of the graphic design must actively contribute to ease, speed and usability of site for its visitors and Graphic design must include the full range of heading, link and other HTML styles and states (for example, link, active link, visited link, hover link).
   c) The site must use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control all formatting and layout in page templates.
   d) Standards-based and valid CSS and HTML will be required for (a) our home page and (b) sub pages on the site.
   e) Highly usable and accessible HTML templates for these designs, allowing a web developer to apply the designs inside a content management system
   f) All design deliverables must meet AA level of conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) of the Web Accessibility Initiative

3. a) Service provider needs to provide Content Management System which must be based on open source software or widely used commercial software that can be serviced and supported, if necessary, by third parties.
   b) The website should have features like easy to use interface, requiring minimal staff training for routine updating of content, provision for our staff to create, edit and upload web pages on templates as well as uploading other files, an ability to deliver video, podcasts and downloads of a wide range of file types, "Web 2.0" type features including RSS, etc.
   c) All pages must include metadata elements that will allow us to optimise pages for search engines. In addition, page URLs must be editable and must include both human-readable and machine-readable (XML for search engines) sitemaps.
   d) The new site will use Google Analytics as a primary tool for measuring web activity.
   e) The website will require an eNewsletter / eAlerts facility.
4. Hosting: Web hosting service for our redeveloped website must be secure, reliable and scalable.
5. We may hire more than one service provider for the fulfilment of requirements.
   

Payment terms are negotiable. Interested service providers are requested to contact us on or before Friday 28th August 2009 by 4:00 pm via post, courier or hand delivery only. All queries in connection with the tender should be submitted by email only by 12pm on Friday, 14 August 2009. This tender is Global and Offsite.
